Intentions

This short film follows the journey of a young Muay Thai athlete as she earns her spot on Team Canada and prepares for her first international tournament. Capturing both the intensity of her training and the quiet moments in between, the film explores the discipline, resilience, and inner strength it takes to step onto the world stage.

Colours

The film uses a balance of warm hues and cool shadows to reflect the duality of Rowin’s journey—warmth for her inner drive, community, and personal growth; cooler tones in the shadows to capture the solitude, discipline, and tension of preparation. This contrast helps ground the viewer in both the emotional and physical layers of her experience.
